My story
Amy grew up in South East Kent and was born in Margate. She studied Fine Art at the University for Creative Arts in Canterbury, and then went on to study a BA History of Art and Architecture at Reading University.
Amy moved to Bristol in 2013 to work as a Gallery Assistant at Spike Island. She worked at two contemporary art galleries in Bristol whilst building her career in marketing and communications.
Amy's art practice draws inspiration from her classical training and appreciation for the Impressionists, Colourists, Bauhaus school, mid-century design, and architectural theories. Amy's subject matter revolves around her interest in the city, urban life, community, and the multifaceted benefit and enjoyment of nature.
As an appreciator of languages and literature, Amy sometimes includes words to enhance the narrative of her drawings.
